Things I Would Tell My 20-Year-Old Self

Ok, so this is just something fun that I’ve seen around. (go ahead, give it a try yourself!)

Things I would tell my 20-year-old self:

Go for GOOD, rather than NICE

There are plenty of nice people, but that doesn’t mean that they’re good people. Don’t mistaken nice with good.

Start taking care of your MIND BODY SPIRIT

I waited (almost 20 years) till I got dog-sick to start looking after myself as a whole/holistically, mind-body-spirit (Yes! Mental health SO matters!)

It’s ok NOT TO BE OK

Pretending I was ok at times when I wasn’t has shown me that it’s dead wrong. I experienced toxic relationships, friendships, jobs, careers, from pretending I was ok.

Drop the PERFECTIONISM

I’ve lost so many great opportunities simply by waiting for the perfect time, moment, person, job, etc.

Follow your GUT FEELINGS

I’ve made so many poor decisions and mistakes by not following my gut feelings.

Listen to YOUR OWN body

I’ve followed so many things in life, such as diets, nutrition advices, lifestyle of other people, only to realize that many of them don’t agree with my body.

There are always SILVER LININGS

Things (read: s**t) happen for a reason. It’s for us to learn, grow, progress, thrive. If anything, it’s telling you not to repeat them, The only way is THROUGH.

Heal your TRAUMAS

There are no bypass, no shortcuts, no escaping this process. This is the only way you can move forward in life, is by processing and healing your traumas. It’s hard AF, but it’s THE only way!

Trust the PROCESS

Things can get tough AF. Healing takes time. Progress takes time. Transformation takes time. Keep going!

CHILL girl!

Stop taking things too seriously, don’t overthink, care-less of what others think (of you, especially), relax and BREATHE your way through life.

You got this girl!!

What are some of the things you would tell 20-year old you?
